OK! Some Visible Progress
Here!
And look over on the left - another pot appeared! Imagine
that...
I just couldn't stand having a garden with no zucchini so I
bought another container.

The Swiss chard is about two inches tall - I've
thinned the plants to one per hole. The manufacturer recommends
no more than 8 plants per container.
The tomatoes have more than doubled in size. I
picked all the blooms off when I transplanted them to help them
get a good root system started. From now on I'll let them bloom
at will.
And, of course, the beans are growing like
weeds! I ordered suport systems for both the beans and the
tomatos but they were backorderd. Hope they get here soon.
A Closer
View of the Chard and Zucchini
Here you can get a better view of the plastic
on top that helps keep moisture in and weeds out.
Only three zucchini are visible. I transplanted them
from another pot. The other three openings were
just planted today.

Another Closeup - Tomatoes and
Beans
This straight in view of the tomatoes and beans
gives a better idea of their height as measured against the
brick wall - each course of bricks is about 3-3/4" tall.
I put some bamboo garden stakes in with the beans because they
are growing so fast. From the looks of it, I should have
gotten taller stakes.
